Thrustmaster Handbrake

Thrustmaster Now Makes a Handbrake for Your Sim-Racing Rig

Sim racing is better than ever, and that’s thanks in part to new hardware that makes games like iRacing and Assetto Corsa feel more life-like. Thrustmaster and Sparco just launched a handbrake for PC racing games that’s designed specifically for rally and drift simulators. The Thrustmaster TSS Handbrake Sparco Mod—that’s its full name—is available now for $320, and promises totally realistic feel.

You can adjust the handbrake to be angled like it would be in a road car, or totally vertical, as in a rally or drift machine. This handbrake can also be reconfigured to be used as a sequential gearbox, so if you’re feeling really crazy, you can pick up two and get the full WRC experience.

Unfortunately for Gran Turismo and Forza fans, this handbrake only works with PCs running Windows 7, 8, or 10. No Playstation or XBox compatibility just yet. Naturally, Thrustmaster says this handbrake was designed to work with its own sim-racing steering wheels and pedal setups, but it should work with whatever you have.
