Back in March, iRacing.com and the Lucas Oil Off-Road Series proudly announced a partnership that will bring multiple new off-road eSports series to the online racing service. iRacing – New Damage Model Progress
iRacing.com is continuing the work on its brand new damage model.
Sadly enough, the damage update did not make it to the recently deployed 2019 Season 2 Build. However, iRacing pointed out that the new damage model was coming along nicely. They now shared a new work-in-progress video, showcasing crashes with various iRacing car models.

Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya Coming To iRacing
iRacing.com confirmed that they are currently laser scanning the Spanish Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya. The track will be added to the iRacing track portfolio at a yet to be announced date. (Do not expect it to be #soon.)
The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya is a motorsport racing track in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain. Until 2013 the track was known only as the Circuit de Catalunya before a sponsorship deal with Barcelona City Council added Barcelona to the track’s title.

Marcos Ambrose Teaches How To Drive
RutgersKev has shared a great video on Youtube, featuring a driving lesson from former pro race car driver Marcos Ambrose.
A native of Australia, Marcos Ambrose used to race in the Australian V8 Supercars series and later made the switch to the North American NASCAR circuit where he competed from 2008 until 2014.
Due to his extensive background in road racing, Ambrose became a road track specialist in NASCAR, winning two Sprint Cup races at Watkins Glen.

iRacing To Pay Out $300,000 in eSport Prize Money
iRacing has announced that their six eSport World Championship Series are going to award a total of $300,000 in prize money in the coming year.
A lions-share of that amount will be awarded by the recently-announced Porsche iRacing World Championship that comes with a $100K prize fund. The other 200 grand will be split among the other five eSport World Championship series that cover disciplines such as NASCAR, Rallycross, sports car racing and dirt ovals.
